homemade applesauce

This is the label for my applesauce. At least the central running theme. I don't think at this point selling applesauce will make me enough money to do much more than buy Christmas presents. I'll keep making it though because the labels are going to be really cool complete with jokes and trivia about apples and chickens.

Now I feel cheated. I didn't get any cool jokes or trivia about apples and chickens!

Oh well -- it's great applesauce, even without a label. This morning, I tried it on some chewy granola with vanilla silk, and the net effect was something like apple pie.

Cheers!

Well Tyler you'll just have to buy some more. That sounds like a weird combination, but who am I to judge. I've been accused of some inappropriate food combinations in my day. Glad you like it!

Speaking of inappropriate food combinations, I have to say that french fries dipped in chocolate milk shakes tops the list.

The applesauce, by the way is fantastically yummy! Homemade goodness straight from a genuine Southern kitchen...

Hmm.

White rice and ketchup.

Chocolate dipped jalapenos.

Bananas and pretzels.

Ice cream as chip dip.

I've never tried the fries-and-shake thing, though. It sounds exciting, in a gastronomic-lewis-and-clark sort of way. (hmm... culinary columbus has more of a ring to it, but I like lewis and clark, and "gastronomy" is a fun word. It sounds like the study of kitchen constelations. And besides, culinary implies food, but gastronomy implies GOOD food. Like Natalie's applesauce.)

Durnit, now it's one o'clock in the morning and I'm hungry! :p

Wow, all this applesauce talk is making me want to move to Tenessee! And a trip to Zips sounds great right now, too...I am a big fan of the fries and ice cream combo.

I think my newest weird food discovery is dried fruit and peanut butter. Daniel was smearing PB on dried pinapple rings and I had to see what the hype was all about. Not bad.

Miss you!

alright, I'll condone the chips and ice cream but am definately going to reject the ketchup and rice thing, sounds like a recipe for disaster
